Monaco, 28 September 2021 – AllianceJet, part of the Alliance Aviation Group of companies and an approved AOC operator with a home base in Malta, has appointed business aviation veteran Hervé Laitat as its new CEO. Hervé brings 20 years of experience in aviation to the company and will support AllianceJet in further enhancing its boutique Aviation Asset Management operations.
Hervé Laitat joins the company from Luxaviation Group where he served as Group Chief Strategy Officer as well as CEO of Luxavation Belgium (formerly Abelag), overseeing a fleet of 20+ business jets and the FBO at Brussels Airport. Hervé has also represented the interests of business aviation operators as a Board Member and Treasurer of the European Business Aviation Association for 15 years.
With Herve’s appointment, AllianceJet will leverage his expertise to effectively address the growing demand among business aircraft owners for professional and highly personalized aircraft management and operations.
“I am delighted to see Hervé take the helm at AllianceJet. His business aviation experience perfectly complements the invaluable knowledge I’ve gained during my career in the luxury hospitality sector. In just one year of operations, our company has achieved many impressive milestones, offering an all-rounded, fully tailored experience to business aviation customers supported by a highly committed and experienced team,” said Hans Cauchi, AllianceJet Chairman.
“In the face of consolidation across the business aviation industry, aircraft owners are growing louder in expressing their wish not to be seen as just a number. Owners want tailored aircraft asset management services performed by professionals who treat their aircraft as if it were our own,” explains Hervé Laitat. “AllianceJet’s boutique Aircraft Asset Management approach does exactly that, and I am thrilled to join them in taking the company to the next level.”
Embedded in the strategy of AllianceJet is a pledge to cap its fleet of managed aircraft, which currently consists of a Bombardier Global 6000 and Challenger 605, at 15 aircraft to ensure a continuous high standard of service for all clients. Furthermore, the company has reinforced its mission to help aircraft owners develop and implement sustainable aircraft operations in collaboration with trusted industry partners to ensure minimal environmental impact and maximum positive social impact.
“I welcome AllianceJet with a lot of enthusiasm, whose Accountable Manager, Adrian Spiteri, is known for his rigour and professionalism. Encouraging and facilitating sustainable mobility is a key priority for Transport Malta. We are incredibly supportive of AllianceJet’s commitment to make sustainability a cornerstone of its business practices and services,” said Charles Pace, Director General of Civil Aviation at Transport Malta.
AllianceJet’s Aviation Asset Management services cover the full cycle of aircraft ownership, to include:
- Operational management and supervision under the Malta-based AOC
- Technical follow-ups with in-house CAMO-approved experts
